    Description

Vintage theater handbill from London's Forum, dated September 1938, for the controversial film Ecstasy, billed here in it's original European title Extase, starring Hedy Lamarr and Aribert Mog. Filmed and released in 1933, it was banned in most places and this handbill is from 1938, when the ban was finally lifted in the United Kingdom!
The film features the first motion picture nude scene and sex scene in a non-pornographic film (though only Lamarr's face is shown during the sex scene).
